This past drill weekend Company D conducted an Airborne Operation alongside 38th CAB’s UH-60s (Blackhawks). Paratroopers jumped the MC-6 parachute from 1500ft AGL onto Niece DZ (Columbus Airport). Pathfinders on the drop zone used a Verbally Initiated Release System (VIRS) drop to steer the Uh-60s on course and to let the Jumpmaster know when to command the paratroopers to exit the aircraft. 38thIndianaPosted by Company D Long Range Surveillance, 151st IN Airborne on Wednesday, March 14, 2018
