HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY Air Force Reserve! It was on this day in 1948, when the Army Air Corps Reserve was transferred to the Air Force. The Air Force Reserve lineage dates back over 100 years to when Reserve Airpower was established in the National Defense Act of 1916. Today nearly 70,000 Citizen Airmen are stationed locally in communities throughout the United States and overseas and serving globally for every Combatant Command in air, space, and cyberspace.

After MANY months of deliberation and discussion, the 512th Airlift Wing's C-17 Squadron, the 326th Airlift Squadron, has decided to part ways with their "Killer Bunny" patch.

Leadership wants to focus on a kinder, gentler Air Force. They felt a new direction would help with recruiting new aircrew and support personnel.

What do you think of the newest patch?

Vigilance is as important today as it's ever been and it is every Airman’s duty to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity when they see it. The Eagle Eyes program plays a vital role in protecting personnel and the base.

Armed with this information, anyone can recognize elements of potential terror planning when they see it.
