HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY Air Force Reserve! It was on this day in 1948, when the Army Air Corps Reserve was transferred to the Air Force. The Air Force Reserve lineage dates back over 100 years to when Reserve Airpower was established in the National Defense Act of 1916. Today nearly 70,000 Citizen Airmen are stationed locally in communities throughout the United States and overseas and serving globally for every Combatant Command in air, space, and cyberspace.

Today, Col. Craig Peters, 512th Airlift Wing commander, presented Meritorious Service Medals to three Reserve Airmen in recognition for their superior job performance in their respective duty stations.

Master Sgts. Thomas Vilgos, 512th Inspector General Inspections, and Savannah Bellem, 512th Legal Office!
MSms are military awards presented to members of the U.S. Armed Forces who distinguished themselves for outstanding meritorious achievement or service.
Ticket vouchers for NASCAR's Monster Energy Cup AAA 400 Drive for Autism are available. The vouchers, provided by USO Delaware, are available for pickup in the 512th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Office in Building 202, Room 202, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. up until race weekend. The race is on Sunday May 6.
Tickets can also be picked up during the April UTA, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Vouchers are to be redeemed for tickets at Dover International Speedway on race day, Sunday May 6 by a sponsor or dependent spouse. A Department of Defense Identification card is required for redemption.
Ticket vouchers are only available for active-duty, reserve and guard service members. Four vouchers are available per member.
After MANY months of deliberation and discussion, the 512th Airlift Wing's C-17 Squadron, the 326th Airlift Squadron, has decided to part ways with their "Killer Bunny" patch.
Leadership wants to focus on a kinder, gentler Air Force. They felt a new direction would help with recruiting new aircrew and support personnel.

Dover AFB hosts Transition Summit
Team Dover’s maintenance groups hosted an airplane Nose Art Unveiling Ceremony March 22, 2018, at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware.
The nose artwork, titled “Keep ‘em Flying” by renowned artist Greg Hildebrandt, was placed on a Team Dover C-17 Globemaster III cargo plane and will be a permeant fixture to the aircraft.
