One note, the 90,000 pouches will actually begin their journey throughout the state tomorrow, when Maryland Army National Guard comes to pick them up and take them out. The additional distribution to Harford, Baltimore, Cecil and Kent counties will happen at the Discovery Fest, tomorrow at 3 p.m. Kirk US Army Health Clinic

The CECOM Software Engineering Center (SEC) team walks away with the APG Innovation Cup April 20 as part of APG Discovery Week. The Innovation Cup was a friendly competition between units, challenging teams to use their creativity and problem solving to complete various tasks under a time crunch. Congratulations to all the teams! Today the 20th CBRNE Command hosted the #TeamAPG Holocaust Days Of Remembrance Observance. The #USArmy remembers the victims and survivors of the Holocaust, and honors the courage of those individuals who took a stand against persecution and those today who take stands against the same types of destructive behaviors.

A session during today's #TeamAPG SHARP Summit discussed social media misconduct and the Marines United Scandal. According to NCIS Intelligence Specialist Catherine Spanbauer, the investigation collected 131,000 images, of which 99% were "selfies."

"Here's the reality, anything you post on the internet...is like a radioactive isotope. It will emit radiation, it will exist in the internet forever. It cannot be completely wiped out," she said.

The U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center along with APG Directorate of Emergency Services are planning weather-dependent controlled burns for today, April 11, for management of downrange areas at #TeamAPG. Efforts will be made to minimize the smoke from impacting on-post and off-post residential communities.

Prescribed burning is the safest and most cost effective way to maintain APG ranges due to unexploded ordnance concerns.

All controlled burns are implemented in accordance with the Installation Wildland Fire Management Plan, the purpose of which, is to address potential wildland fire risks and sustain mission landscape for testing and training activities. All activities that may occur are coordinated with the APG Fire Department and permitted by Harford County.

For more information on APG's controlled burn program visit the APG News website for an informative article at http://apgnews.com/community-news/controlled-burns-apg-ranges-begin-december/.
