Yummy...whole bunch of deliciousness. Hoosier Trails Council, BSA and Boy Scouts of America dontate $35,520.00 to the USO of Indiana and Indiana National Guard. During the 2017 popcorn sale, Scouts in central Indiana sold military certificates and accepted donations from the public. Those funds have sent pallets of the savory snack to those in the armed forces. Scout Executive, Glen Steenberger, Program Director, Kevin Trojan and members of Troop 0557 presented their donation to Camp Atterbury USO Manager Jaclyn Bolin and Camp Atterbury Command Sergeant Major Mark Stephens. Garrison Command would like to thank everyone in the great state of Indiana who made this possible, #hoosierhospitality, and thank you Colonel Kirk White for your support with the Boy Scouts and your continued devotion to the Indiana Army National Guard.

A 48 year-old woman, weighing 230 pounds falls to the ground clutching her chest. What do you do? Five individuals found that answer while participating in Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course offered at Camp Atterbury. The course is taught by Sgt. Franklin Mashino, an LPN, Paramedic and instructor since 2012.
Two soldiers who took the course have recently deployed with the 38th Sustainment Brigade to Kuwait. However, ALL students are now more equipped to aid in important life saving skills.

Rest in Peace Sgt 1st Class Mark Boner. Proud Father and Grandfather, and Indiana Guardsmen died at Fort Hood, Texas early Saturday Morning at the age of 43. "For those who knew and worked with Sgt 1st Class Boner, he was respected and admired for his great love for his country and family," said Col. Kimberly Martindale, Commander of the 38th Sustainment Brigade. "He was an inspiration to us all, always doing something for someone else and never taking credit for it. My deepest sympathy for his family at this sad and difficult time." Boner prevoiusly deployed to Iraq in 2009 and was at Fort Hood preparing for another deployment overseas.
