The Air Force is continuing its rollout of the Alpha Warrior program with the launch of the 2018 Alpha Warrior Meet and Greet Tour.
San Angelo community and civic leaders toured the 17th Training Wing for the 12th time to learn about Goodfellow’s mission and its relationship with the community April 12. Airman Donovan V. Lewis, an Air Force technical school trainee at Goodfellow, competed and took first place at the second annual Caliber Collison Military Combine finals at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, March 31. Congratulations to the Airmen of Class 18-C, who graduated from Airman Leadership School April 19. ALS is a six-week course designed to prepare senior Airmen to assume supervisory duties by offering instruction in leadership, followership, written and oral communication skills, and the profession of arms. Students gain an understanding of their role as military supervisors and how they can contribute to the overall goals and mission of the Air Force. Goodfellow leadership and San Angelo civic leaders met at the San Angelo Community Medical Center to discuss partnership agreements April 19. As discussions about future and current agreements took place inside the hospital, an example of these partnerships was taking place outside. Members of the 17th Training Wing Medical Group worked together with SACMC hospital employees to demonstrate mobile decontamination tents.
2018 marks 76 years of the Air Force Aid Society helping Airmen & 50 years of the Air Force Enlisted Village providing homes to surviving spouses.
