Statement from R. Lee Ermey's long time manager, Bill Rogin: It is with deep sadness that R. Lee Ermey ("The Gunny") passed away this morning from complications of pneumonia.

Gunny Ermey served alongside 3rd Marine Division Marines in Vietnam.

Chief P.O. Ophael Myrtle tells his story of immigration to the United States from his native country of Haiti. As an infant, Myrtil lost 24 family members in a fatal bus accident. Myrtil is now a 17-year veteran of the U.S. Navy and is the lead chief petty officer with 1st MAW.
