Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224 participates in Weapons and Tactics Course, April 10. WTI is a seven-week course training event, hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1, which emphasizes operational integration of the six functions of Marine Corps aviation in support of a Marine Air Ground Task Force.

The Royal Air Force celebrated their 100th anniversary aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, March 2018. They also celebrated 617 Squadron's 75th anniversary, who will become the first operational F-35B Lightning II squadron in the United Kingdom.

Marines, Sailors, families and members of the local community attended Kids Fest in Beaufort, S.c., April 7. The event as held in recognition of April, the Month of the Military Child and Child Abuse Prevention Month. Throughout this month, the Tri-command and local community recognize the sacrifices of military families and raise awareness to prevent child abuse. Marine Corps Community Services hosted the event, organizing informational booths, resources and entertainment.

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 122, “The Flying Leathernecks,” conducted their first flight operations in the F-35B Lightning II at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, March 29, 2018. This marked the end of the first phase in the transition from a legacy F/A-18C Hornet squadron to an F-35B squadron.
VMFA-122, originally based at MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, arrived at MCAS Yuma in October 2017.
