“If we got the call today, the U.S. Army would deploy, fight and win in any conflict,” says Secretary of the Army Mark T. Esper.

Still, the Army continues to focus on exceeding recruitment standards, increasing the lethality of the force, and modernizing equipment:

Closing out #100DaysofStrength over the weekend, more than 70 Soldiers in Kuwait participated in #ToughRuck2018.

"Tough Ruck" was started seven years ago by Soldiers of Massachusetts National Guard — The Nation's First who marched the 26.2 mile route of the Boston Marathon carrying the names of fallen comrades.

Tough Ruck participants were at the finish line of the #BostonMarathon in 2013 and joined first responders helping those who were injured by the horrific blasts. The tradition of Tough Ruck continues each year and has expanded to many locations where Mass. Guardsmen are deployed.

Join us in remembering the fallen and supporting the participants, who exemplify the strength of our #Soldiers and our nation.
