The Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum dedicated the new Vandenberg Launch Experience exhibit Monday evening. This display will create educational opportunities and experiences that will expose children to the vast world of launch activities. And hopefully encourage some of them to follow in our footsteps and join our United States Air Force team.

Team Vandenberg’s Hawk Spotlight, this week, comes from the 30th Contracting Squadron. Below he speaks on his responsibilities!

“I am 2nd Lt. Steven Groenheim, and I work with the 30th Contracting Squadron. What we do here is cradle to grave contracting. When a unit gets a requirement, they come to us to certify that all of the funds are available, then we go out and solicit for those items. I am managing one of the larger contracts on base right now, but there are other contracts I deal with that are basic office supplies. I want to make sure that I am growing where I am planted. One day I would like to move into systems acquisitions and do large scale contracting.”
