The UH-1N Huey helicopters hosted at JBA's 1st Helicopter Squadron are slated to be replaced by new aircraft as early as 2020.

"The Air Force Reserve Command is expanding the Aviation Bonus Program to qualifying Air Reserve Technicians (ART) as part of an effort to increase rated-aircrew retention ... Eligible ARTs will receive a bonus of up to $18K, while AGRs will now receive up to $35K. Those interested have until Dec. 31 to apply."

June is LGBT Pride Month and JBA is hosting an awareness panel June 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 113th Wing auditorium (Building 3252). Attendees will learn about resources available to LGBT service members and be invited to participate in an anonymous question-and-answer session. Free pizza will be provided for lunch.

The first KC-46A's, the Air Force's latest in aerial refueling aircraft, are set to roll out at McConnell Air Force Base this October.

Cadets with the Civil Air Patrol had the memorable experience of seeing a refueling in action on board a KC-135 today! We appreciate everyone who assisted in the flight.

Get your video recognized! The Air Force is hosting a contest for Airmen to get creative and submit their best recruiting video. Winner will get the chance to be flown out to Washington, D.C. and shadow a professional marketing crew.

The 459th hosted a Safety Day event for our flying and maintenance squadrons this UTA following a directive from the Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. David L. Goldfein to ensure the continued operational safety of our air systems. "We cannot afford to lose a single Airman or weapons system due to a mishap that could have been prevented,” said Goldfein.
