U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii is conducting an annual exercise 11-12 July to evaluate first responder and emergency response capabilities in the event of a natural or man-made emergency. Exercise activities will take place at Fort Shafter Flats and Fort DeRussy, 11 July, and at Schofield Barracks, 12 July.
Beginning October 2020, Soldiers will be required to take the new Army Combat Fitness Test.

FORT SHAFTER, Hi – 8th Theater Sustainment Command ended Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Month by holding a PTSD Awareness Day event consisting of a morning fun run and a Restorative Yoga Session, Fri. June 29. The event also had various booths around Takata Field providing information on resiliency, healthy living and resources to seek help if needed. The 8th Theater Sustainment Command led senior enlisted leaders from U.S. Army Pacific in taking the Army Combat Readiness Test today on Hamilton Field at Schofield Barracks.
The ACRT assesses different components of physical fitness to include aerobic endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, power, speed, agility, flexibility, balance, coordination and reaction time.
Today's PT session allowed senior enlisted leaders the opportunity to experience the ACRT firsthand.
