Discovery is one of three National Guard Youth Challenge Academies facilitated by the California Military Department and aims to help youth, ages 16-18, make up credits, learn discipline, life skills and forge a path ahead to their futures.

STORY: The #CalGuard's 132nd Multirole Bridge Company builds a bridge to help CAL FIRE and Cal OES move heavy equipment, vehicles and personnel across a river for better access to fight the County Fire in Napa and Yolo counties. More than 650 vehicles and 1,200 personnel crossed the bridge during its weeklong placement.

California State Military Reserve Colonel Brian Anderson leads Soldiers from the California Army National Guard's 100th Troop Command through a trilateral negotiation. This training took place this weekend at the Guard's Moreno Valley Readiness Center. The Troop Command is preparing to participate in Yudh Abhyas 2018, a recurring annual exercise with India's Army and the U.S. Yudh Abhyas showcases military cooperation between both nations and strengthens interoperability.
