Earlier today, Florida National Guard senior leaders joined members of the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy for the groundbreaking of the Advanced Vehicle Operations & Training Complex in Havana, just outside Tallahassee. The 83rd Troop Command's 868th Engineer Company and the Florida Air National Guard's 202nd REDHORSE Squadron will work together over the next few months to complete this facility, which will provide advanced training in driving and vehicle operations to law enforcement officers.
Happy 100th anniversary to the Warrant Officer Corps! In commemoration of the event, Warrant Officers from the Florida National Guard spent Friday celebrating the legacy and achievements of their cohort with a 5k run through St. Augustine, followed by a cake cutting at the historic St. Francis Barracks. As technical experts in fields as varied as logistics, aviation and Special Forces, Warrant Officers sustain the force and enable the U.S. Army and Florida National Guard to be #AlwaysReady #AlwaysThere
