UPDATE

The full-scale exercise at Fort Riley has concluded. We want to thank all those who participated and we also want to thank everyone for your patience with the closing of Grant Gate today. The Grant Street Access will remain closed the rest of today and resume normal operations tomorrow.

Fort Riley is conducting a full-scale exercise today. During the day, residents, employees and community members should be aware there is likely to be an increase in emergency response vehicles.
Additionally, certain roads on the installation may be closed and traffic could be rerouted. Also, Grant Gate will be closed in support of the exercise so plan your route accordingly. Drivers are asked to be patient and allow extra time when traveling on post. The exercise is a way to test and train installation emergency preparedness.
The annual exercise involves Fort Riley assets and community partners to help test, sync and evaluate all emergency response processes and procedures.

Want to know more about the upcoming 10-5-2 Prairie Run at Fort Riley? Then tune in at 7:48 this morning to 1420 KJCK "The Talk of JC" as Reed Scott of MWR talks about this race and how to sign up.
