After 77 years of dedicated service, 1st MAW takes pause only for a moment to note their accomplishments before moving forward to continue supporting the mission-- whatever it may be.

Gunnery Sgt. Scott M. Dahn was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, June 12, for his heroic actions while scuba diving off the coast of Okinawa. Dahn saved the life of a Chinese woman who was drowning and provided CPR until medical services arrived on scene.
