SMP works to ensure single Marines sailors, single parents, and geographical bachelor’s that live in Beaufort are the best they can be. However, the facility is available for all hands, dependents and authorized Department of Defense employee usage .

-Featuring: 23 TVs, media theater with Xboxs and Playstations, pool tables, two bars, laptops, free Wi-Fi, printing, outdoor games such as corn hole game, basketball ,and volleyball. There are plenty of bar food choices as well as a Subway located inside.

Tammie Ashley receives a painting of her retired Military Working Dog, Sirius and pins Gunnery Sgt. Justin Boyer during his promotion ceremony. Tammie flew across the country to receive this painting and visit her MWD family, nearly six years since the passing of her son and MWD handler, Sgt. Joshua Ashley. The Marines and civilians who work at the MWD section are like family to Tammie, as they continue to ensure the legacy of Josh lives on.

The Tri-Command celebrated Independence Day aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island July 4. During the celebration, Marines, Sailors and citizens of the Lowcountry were able to listen to the MCRD Parris Island Band, learn about Marine Corps history and enjoy fireworks at sunset.
