Security exercises happening at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay this week...residents will here announcements via Giant Voice and other communication tools which, if part of the planned drill, should be preceded by "Exercise Exercise"

It's all part of keeping NSGB safe, secure, and ready.

On July 11, 2018 Command of Marine Corps Security Forces Company Guantanamo Bay was changed from Major Jordan Shultz to Major Richard McKenzie.

The Command began as the Marine Guard at Guantanamo Bay in 1905, but the Marine Corps presence at the base goes back to the Battle of Cuzco Well in 1898, when a landing force of Marines and Cuban rebel allies took the area during the Spanish American War.

America’s oldest overseas military base, Naval Station Guantanamo Bay remains the forward, ready, and irreplaceable U.S. sea power platform in the Caribbean.
