A brush fire burning on Camp Pendleton has also encroached onto our Fallbrook detachment near the southwestern corner of the installation. Ammunition Road remains open at this time.

Updated information on this Wednesday's 4th of July event at Joint Forces Training Base Los Alimitos!
SECURITY EXERCISE TODAY - This morning the naval weapons station will host some small-scale security training exercises. You may see increased first responder activity around the base. The exercises may also include temporary gate closures and short uses of the station's Giant Voice mass notification loudspeaker system. Anaheim Bay will remain open to civilian boat traffic during the exercises.
NEW SATURDAY MWR HOURS: The base gym, fitness center, rec center and community recreation will now be open from 8:00am to 2:00pm on Saturdays.

Seventy-six years ago today, the Battle of Midway ended with a decisive American victory. See the Midway story in this "newsreel" video put together by the Naval History and Heritage Command.
There is a small brush fire located approximately 1.7 miles northeast of our Fallbrook detachment. No evacuations are planned for this time. If you live or work in the area please monitor the situation via news reports and social media for additional information. Any potential impacts to the base or our personnel will be posted here as well.

USMC Training Part II - Starting tomorrow morning and running through Tuesday, June 5, the naval weapons station will be the scene of a Marine Corps training exercise. The exercise will be very similar to one conducted here in early May. You may see increased security activities, role players conducting "protests," and hear music and other recorded sounds. There will also be scenarios that may include the firing of blank ammunition.
