To ensure the U.S. military’s competitive advantage, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Joe Dunford has laid out four pillars of global integration: planning, decision-making, force management and force design.

The department has always done global integration, but the changes to the speed of war and the changed character of war means that integration “needs to be done in a much more aggressive way."

Learn more about what this looks like in practice across the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD):

Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff United States Air Force Gen. Paul Selva spoke to members of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) at their annual conference this week on the benefits of athletics and adaptive sports for our wounded warriors. He also thanked them for what they do to lead, coach and bring out the best in young people, some of whom will go on to serve in our nation's military.
