USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) fires a Standard Missile 3 during exercise Formidable Shield 2017 in the Atlantic Ocean, Sunday. The U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/U.S. Sixth Fleet led exercise is improving allied interoperability in a live-fire integrated air and missile defense environment, using NATO command and control reporting structures.

The parents of the first baby born on the U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) since 2010 speak to the hospital ship's head chaplain Saturday. The ship is underway operating in the vicinity of San Juan, Puerto Rico in support of Hurricane Maria relief.
